our leadership

When people ask us how we are different from other organizations involved in the fight against heart disease, our response is actually quite simple.  Our grassroots organization, launched in January 2013, was intentionally created to fill a need in our own community and, what we learned in a short period of time, is that our approach resonated with thousands of others in our region.

THINK GLOBAL, BE LOCAL

We made a commitment that the majority of funds we raise in a community is dedicated to serve the residents of that respective community.

BEYOND THE MESSAGE

All of the awareness and education means nothing if we fail to get more women and men screened early for heart disease. Recognizing the disparity in women’s heart health diagnosis and care, we also created a scholarship program to provide advance screenings for eligible at-risk women.

CLOSING THE GAP

Our collaborations with community, corporate and faith-based groups helps us fulfill our mission to "inspire and enable women and their loved ones prevent heart attack, stroke, and premature death." By partnering with health care providers, we can help more people learn their own risks for heart disease and how to win the fight against our #1 killer.
